Hello (in a British accent) from London! It has been a whirlwind of a past 72 hours!
Mollie and Eme and I are together again, and all is right with the world. Together, we took on the tube (it is like the subway but remarkably cleaner) with a wild amount of colorful luggage between the three of us. What can we say - we are in fashion!!
Post tube ride, we headed over to Mollie’s family friends house where we are staying for the week, our bags decorating the rainy London atmosphere and not-so-subtly announcing to everyone passing, “WE HAVE ARRIVED!”
After getting settled, we took to the streets! The first mission was food, coffee, and a treat because the three of us are known for getting fussy if not properly fueled. Once this was accomplished, we decided to take a bus ride to get a lay of the land. We road around taking in the shops, restaurants, and energy of the city. The air is quiet here, as Eme so perfectly explained it, even with the rush of people.
We also took a bit of a walk and popped in a few stores. The most notable find was bubbles. Yes, bubbles. A few months ago, I was having a rough day, and Mollie and Eme decided to cheer me up by buying bubbles and blowing them all around me. It was extremely effective, and since then, bubbles have been a staple item for us to have at all times.
Last week, we received this text from Eme in our group chat:
THANK GOODNESS, we located bubbles yesterday, and Eme was thrilled.
Here she is in her most natural state:
Another thing natural to the three of us? Super Lube. Bonbon, my grandmother, has always used this fabulous lip product, similar to Aquaphor, hilariously called Super Lube. I have been obsessed for years, and recently, I have converted Mollie and Eme into avid lovers of the product as well. We have it with us and will be using it religiously all trip. Cheers!
Finally, we wrapped up the day with a dinner with the sweet family hosting us. It was so much fun! We were cozed and in bed by 9:30pm. I am writing to you the next morning and will update you when I find another pocket of time, but we have a very exciting itinerary lined up thanks to Mollie!!
Talk So Soon!
